“’cos you want me to.” Alais bit down deeply into her lip, nudging him almost nervously again. This was more difficult than she thought - despite the fact that the boundaries between them had taken no more than a few hours work to construct, a few stupidly spoken words and rash mistakes made by each of them - tearing them down was proving to be more of a challenge. "Don't you want to yourself?" She questioned tentatively, fiddling absent-mindedly with the hem of ehr skirt. “Really?Always?” "Uh-huh," she mumbled, her voice almost inaudible as she glanced down into her lap. Allan's forehead leant against her own, seeking omfort and granting it in the same simply gesture. "Guess you're stuck with me now." It was almost like speaking to a straner, reintroducing herself to him. Certainly it felt as if she didn't completely know this new Allan, who held back and asked for confirmation in everything, always tentative and cautious. It wasn't the Allan she knew. Leaning forward, she planted a nervous kiss to his cheek, kcking him very gently in the ankle. "I miss you."
“Aint much to update it with.” "You say that," Alais chuckled, grinning at him, before shakin her head. "Alright, not updating it - renewing it then." “No worse than it would be if it was Will.” "Will's over eighteen years old," Alais scoffed, rolling her eyes at him with a smile. Honestly, sooner or later someone would have to explain the facts of life to that boy. He was a man, after all, and he had a wife to be! Their unborn babe, however, could wait for a little while until the matters between a man and woman were...well, properly explained, let alone demonstrated. "This baby will only be a few days old! 'Sides, it's high time Will knew, but the child can wait." She let out a delicate sigh as Allan watched her, catching something of a fascinated, hungry stare as her eyelids fluttered open and then closed. A small sound escaping from her mouth, she lent back against him to nuzzle her mouth encouragingly against his ear, coaxing him to carry on kissing her. And as his mouth dipped down to taste her shoulder and collar, she let out another whimper, shuddering as he touched the hollow of her throat. It had been a damn long time...longer than either of them would have cared to think about. Warmth was beginning to spiral through her pelvis, and she let out another deep sigh from the feel of his hand smoothing over and between her legs; and catching her lip in her teeth, she let out a shaky gasp. "Hope you know what you're doing," Alais whispered softly, her voice shaking. One wrong move, and they'd both fall. “Really?” She planted an enthusiastic kiss on his cheek, once again displaying her youthful, exuberant side, showing herself once more as the teenager, the younger one in this relationship. "I know it," she said firmly, nodding her head. "Trust me, you're going to be a wonderful father, I know that Allan."
"Perhaps then Allan could advise those poor unfortunate husbands.” "Maybe..." Alais began slowly, not entirely sure whether or not she was agreeing with Lizzy. Truth be told, she wasn't much sure of anything - the flurry of activity buzzing around her, the sudden flush of shock that she was having a baby, it had all of a sudden deluged upon her like a torrent of water. She felt disorientated, able only to sit tight on the bed twisting the bedsheets nervously around in her fingers and waiting for someone to look after her. “Well twelve hours to eighteen hours usually.” Before Alais could open her mouth in horror, Roy spoke out. "First labours can last up to three days," Alais let out a horrified wail. "Eighteen hours? Three days?" She whimpered. "I can't do that!" “That’s alright, you just tell me when you fell another one coming.” "Uh-huh." Alais nodded obediantly and slumped back down on the bed, feeling both terrified and bored in the same moment. Since her waters had broken there was suddenly very little to do.

“I am. But I like to know there is a slim chase of my getting’ out alive.” "She wouldn't 'ave killed you," Roy insisted comfortingly. He paused, before adding with a grin: "She ain't into necrophilia after all." “You seriously think she wudda let me?” He scoffed - that was a fair point, admittedly; in the mood Alais was in there was no way Alais would have let Allan get away if there was a chance he could induce the labour she'd been so desperately craving for the past week. "Well, she's pretty unwieldy now, ain't she?" He drawled, making a gesture with his hand to show just how big she'd gotten. "You could dodge her no trouble." “What?” Wincing, he glanced back at Allan, looking terrified and stricken to the core. God knew, Roy felt sorry for him - he'd seen his fair share of hysterical mothers-to-be taking their anger out on the fathers. He grimaced, shrugging helplessly at the man as he looked over to him, seemingly for comfort. "We-ell..." He began nervously, not trusting himself to look at Alais. She wouldn't be taking this well. “Well twelve hours to eighteen hours usually.” "First labours can last up to three days," he muttered beneath his breath, half-hoping that Alais wouldn't hear him.

“Ain’t gonna happen. I’m not hiring him out to no-one…other late women’ll just have to teach their husbands what to do.” “Perhaps then Allan could advise those poor unfortunate husbands.” She suggested teasing, glancing back once more to the man in question hoping to encourage him, but he merely stood there. Allan couldn’t just stand there dithering in the doorway looking like a startled rabbit. Yet since Roy was paying no mind to him, it appeared it was up to her to delegate a task to terrified man and distract him from the panic that must be turning in his stomach. “Allan?” She addressed him softly. “Would you fetch a pitcher of water?” They would need that in the hours to come, to cool, wash and drink and Allan needed to start interacting with Alais, keep her calm and comfort her as only a lover could. “How long is longer labours?”“Well twelve hours to eighteen hours usually.” But on some occasions, as Elizabeth was only too aware, labours could stretch for longer, unbearable lengths of time.“I dunno! They only just started!” “That’s alright, you just tell me when you fell another one coming.” Elizabeth smiled reassuringly as Alais appeared to fret. Lizzy’s mind however was warring with all the knowledge she had obtained over the past few months, trying to filter those that were appropriate –‘ In the early stages contractions normally last about thirty to sixty seconds and occur at intervals of about five to twenty minutes, though some women are not aware of their early contractions until they are about every five minutes.’ It could be hours before the child was making any definite way into the world and with Alais’s nerves already stretched to breaking point, the evening was destined to become a difficult and tense one.

“I won’t ask,” “Yeah, probably shouldn’t.” He laughed all the same, however disappointed that Alais was not indulging him. “So why’re you goin’ along with this then?”Allan was well aware that he was drifting into dangerous territory and if he did not answer correctly he would be punished for it. “’cos you want me to.” He admitted anxiously, glancing at his hands. It was no easy thing to look away from the tranquil, nervous image of Alais leaning forward to kiss his cheek, grazing her nose against his in chaste affection. A thin, awkward smile graced his lips, appearing worried and uncertain. “I love you, Always have done, always will.”Lowering his head, Allan closed his eyes as Alais did, to hear that soft confession, twisting his stomach and heart. Was that it? Forgiveness, redemption, reconciliation? A long exhale of a breath rippled form his lips, his shoulder sank and hesitantly he pressed his brow to hers. “Really?Always?” He repeated tentively needing reassurance- how many times had Alais promised him everything only to snatch it back if he made a mistake? That was all he wanted to hear, all he needed to know and yet now he felt he didn’t deserve it. He certainly never would have expected to be loved like that. Perhaps things really could change better them and improve. "Big surprise. Still, you're gonna have to update it sooner or later." “Aint much to update it with.” He replied, nevertheless the promise of it was as encouraging as it was enticing.“Still! Explaining sex to a baby, let alone doing it in front of a baby…you don’t think that’s.. Scarring? Horrifying? Something people get thrown in the stocks for? Those sorts of memories could leave a child with horrifying issues.” “No worse than it would be if it was Will.” He grinned. Will typically was used in this way in all matters concerning indecency and propriety. Nevertheless even Allan had to admit that the idea rather disturbed him. It had been a long time since Alais had given herself to him like this, a long time since he could touch her without fear of a reprisal and Allan watched fascinated, as she began to respond to his brief touches; intently gazing at her face as her eyes snapped closed and a first moan escaped from her heated lips; body writhing as she drew his hand further along the thigh to where she wanted him to be. Allan couldn’t resist tasting her throat; the tendons and muscles constricting as she shallowed playing an irresistible display in the golden light of the candles and the tight grip Alais held on his knee only served to encourage and enflame him. But this was not about him or his physical enjoyment. “Oh Allan,Please don’t stop.” Allan wasn’t entirely sure that he should continue. It seemed wrong, almost like a sin to be doing this with an over-pregnant Alais. And yet it had been several months since a woman had reacted to him in this way- that alone was a irresistible draw, a powerful aphrodisiac made all the more potent by the woman herself. Were Molly was usually quite until she could not contain it, Alais was vocal and held no embarrassment in expressing what she was feeling and wanted and it gave him unadulterating pleasure to know he gave it. How could he resist? With more confidence- now he knew he would not be rejected- Allan turned his attention and his lips to her shoulder; tracing a trail with his tongue along her collar bone to the hollow of her throat. One hand continued its caress in small concentrated circles while the other moved to support himself and prove better leverage and reach. "You already love this kid, I can tell by the way you speak to it, strokin' my stomach and tellin' him things. I can tell you love the baby already. Even if we'd never worked this out, I know you'd still have made a wonderful dad." Sometimes Allan didn’t realise or notice something unless it was pointed out to him. Certainly he’d never expected to feel as he did about something he hadn’t even seen. But was that all it took to be a good father- love? Allan wasn’t even certain that love was enough in their relationship, let alone be convinced that a lack of affection was the reason why Alais wanted him to have nothing to do with the child in the beginning. Nevertheless it was comforting to hear. Of late all Allan could think about was how similar a path as his own father he was following and he was terrified it would end the same way. “Really?” He replied, colour flushing to his cheeks as she glanced at his hands.
"I always thought you were eager to bed anything," “I am.” Allan, growing increasingly irritated grumbled. “But I like to know there is a slim chase of my getting’ out alive.”"Besides, if it was such a terrifying prospect why didn't you climb back out the window?" “You seriously think she wudda let me?” Allan replied pointedly. Roy had not be present or privy to Alais’s insisting whines. There was little chance he would have got out of that room alive if he did not perform the task she was demanding. That’s good. Allan certainly seems to live up to your boasting. You shall have to hire him out to all late women. You’d make a fortune.””Ain’t gonna happen,I’m not hiring him out to no-one…other late women’ll just have to teach their husbands what to do.”Allan was vaguely aware that he was being discussed, though in his state of shock he was hardly able to understand what it was they were saying only that his Alais seemed defensive as though he was her possession. “Well it can vary. And unfortunately, first pregnancies tend to have longer labours.”“What?” How long exactly was the labour supposed to take then? God only knew how terrifying Alais would become with the heated frustration of it all. It had been difficult enough with the delayed birth, but hours and hours in pain and discomfort? It didn’t bear thinking about. Glancing to Roy gave no comfort, the man had obviously seen this sort of thing before and looked cowed just thinking about it. Brilliant.

“Well alright, maybe that too. But you know, he don’t ‘alf squeak when he walks. ‘Specially in summer” She raised her eyebrows but for a long time said nothing, merely smiling and shaking her head slowly. Allan would never miss the opportunity to score points off anyone, particularly if that person happened to be his social superior. Rolling her eyes, Alais was forced to hide her chuckle – after all, it wouldn’t do well to encourage him. “I won’t ask,” she murmured beneath her breath. “I do in general” Alais sighed softly, rolling her head back at him, her eyes fluttering closed. “So why’re you goin’ along with this then?” She murmured back against his mouth. Allan’s motives, let alone thoughts, were as usual shrouded in complete mystery, and Alais was hardly able to understand what he was thinking. However, it was beginning to be clear that she was pushing for this more than he was – whether out of anger, fear or simple courtesy, Allan was holding back. Ducking her head anxiously, Alais nudged him very delicately with her nose, leaning over to place a kiss to his cheek. She knew how she wanted to embrace him, sure, but she wasn’t a complete fool. She didn’t want to scare him off. “I love you,” Alais whispered in his ear, closing her eyes delicately. “Always have done, always will.” “Already ‘ave one.” "Big surprise," Alais muttered beneath her breath, shaking her head disapprovingly at him. "Still, you're gonna have to update it sooner or later." “Come on that would be worse! Now he aint old enough to understand, so can’t be scarred by it.” “Still!” She spluttered with laughter, arching her eyebrow at him. “Explaining sex to a baby, let alone doing it in front of a baby…you don’t think that’s..” She snapped her fingers thoughtfully, summoning up the words. “Scarring? Horrifying? Something people get thrown in the stocks for? Those sorts of memories could leave a child with horrifying issues.” Whimpering very slightly as Allan continued to tease her, his mouth against her ear and his hand slipping against her leg, Alais’s eyelids sharply closed. It didn’t usually take this much to get her so…receptive, but it had been a long time. A hell of a long time, actually. Even the fact that her stomach was burgeoning out in front of her didn’t stop a moan from escaping her lips. Her body squirming, her hand traced against his own, pressing it closer up against her thigh, where she wanted him to be. Hissing through her gritted teeth she nodded eagerly, tilting her pale neck back, throat moving as she swallowed; her hand gripping tightly against his knee. It wasn’t what it had been before, but oh, anything was better than nothing. She was practically starving. “Oh Allan,” she let out a heavy sigh, turning her head to nuzzle against his cheek as he continued to tease her. “Please don’t stop.” “Oh yeah? How’d you figure that one?” Alais shrugged blithely, chewing at her lower lip. "You already love this kid," she murmured, explaining things as only she knew; grasping his hand tightly as she breathed through the contraction. Even if this was killing her, she had to explain her thoughts - after all, she thought grimly, if this labour killed her it would be Allan who had to pick up the pieces. "I can tell by the way you speak to it, strokin' my stomach and tellin' him things. I can tell you love the baby already. Even if we'd never worked this out, I know you'd still have made a wonderful dad."
”That’s good. Allan certainly seems to live up to your boasting. You shall have to hire him out to all late women. You’d make a fortune.” Alais folded her arms poutingly, shooting a belaboured look at Lizzy. She didn’t care how funny it was, it still wasn’t funny to her. “Ain’t gonna happen,” she panted, yelping as another pain struck her in the mid-regions. “I’m not hiring him out to no-one…other late women’ll just have to teach their husbands what to do.” “Well it can vary. And unfortunately, first pregnancies tend to have longer labours.” That didn’t sound good. That sounded almost maddeningly not-good, to Alais’s ears. Eyes narrowing, she glanced over at Roy, who was wincing beneath his breath and looking particularly pained. Was there something they weren’t telling her? Alais always assumed that when the baby came it just…came, within the space of an hour or less. “How long is longer labours?” She began suspiciously, stricken with nerves. “How far apart are they coming?” Alais shrugged helplessly. “I dunno! They only just started!”

“Yeah, so eager to bed a fire-breathing dragon.” "I always thought you were eager to bed anything," Roy snickered easily, well aware that he was doing a damn good job of distracting Allan from being a royal pain in the behind. "Besides, if it was such a terrifying prospect why didn't you climb back out the window?" You! Why the hell didn't you tell me about the bloody water-breaking?" As Alais promprtly cuffed him about the head Roy yelped, making a face at the amused expression on Allan's face. Well, alright, he supposed he deserved that...making an uneasy noise in the back of his throat, he shrugged halfheartedly. "It wasn't that I didn't intend to tell you..." he whined, knowing that with Alais's temper the way it was at the moment it was best to be honest. "I just...sorta forgot." "Lizzy, how long is this s'posed to take?"“Well it can vary. And unfortunately, first pregnancies tend to have longer labours.” Roy snorted grimly, ducking his head down. In his experience, first labours took forever, and Alais's young muscles would mean that she'd want to keep everything in, as opposed to let the baby out. Fact of life. He wasn't all together sure he was going to enjoy this pregnancy.

"Not too bad,"”That’s good.” Lizzy commented with smile, fussing with the positions of the candles a moment longer.”Allan certainly seems to live up to your boasting.” She commented, wishing to keep Alais’s mood and nerves light and positive. “You shall have to hire him out to all late women. You’d make a fortune.” Teasing gently she cast a look over her shoulder to the man in question where he stood, stock still in the doorway; uncertain and anxious. "Lizzy, how long is this s'posed to take?"“Well it can vary.” Lizzy began to explain gently. “And unfortunately, first pregnancies tend to have longer labours.” Twelve hours or more was the average for the first pregnancy and birth. Even present in Lizzy’s mind was the unhappy fact that this was not Alais’s first pregnancy, but her second. And though Elizabeth didn’t know exactly far in her trimesters Alais had gone, though she was aware it had been in the latter stages; she was anxiously for her young friend and how she might react to her baby, having already lost one. “How far apart are they coming?”
Roy set aside the cauldron of water by the bed. Allan seemed ignorant of its meaning which was probably for the best while he seemed so uncertain. Really he needed a task to concentrate on. Lizzy had found that was sometimes the only remedy to combat obvious nervous fright. But what work to put him to? Between them Roy and Lizzy had been prepared for weeks and as a result of their organisation, had everything they needed. Roy himself fulfilled one task Allan may have been able to do- in stealing pillows- though the Roy only received a playful clout and telling off.

"And nothing to do with the tight fittin' black leather? That's what I'd pick out."“Well alright, maybe that too.”He remarked with a cheeky grin. Well Allan was been appreciative of all kinds of things, especially when they may earn him advancement or praise. “But you know, he don’t ‘alf squeak when he walks. ‘Specially in summer” Allan added conversationally; easily alluding to embarrassing facets of that particular man."I thought you hated surprises," “I do in general” The words where muffled against Alais’s warm, seductive lips. In most cases, for Allan, surprises were very rarely pleasant ones and this one- Alais suddenly wishing to explore a side of their relationship Allan thought would be barred from him. Surprising too, was that Allan himself was hesitant even resistant to something he wanted and had craved. He had been so careful not to push her, to give her time and now that Alais seemed remiss of the perpetual disregarding punishment she had chosen for him, Allan didn’t know how to react. Oh he knew how he wanted to- trouble was he didn’t know if he should or could. Closing his eyes, Allan banished the thought, or at least tried too. Craving the simplicity which Alais was offering with every nervous touch of her hand and pressed of her lips, that familiarity with the tender gesture of brush her nose against his, Allan could not help himself he brushed his lips against her own. Perhaps she really did want this but Allan could not be certain. There was no definitive proof.
"What, you want to make an inventory?" “Already ‘ave one.”He replied unashamedly cheekily, biting his tongue with a broad grin. Really, how could Alais have supposed any differently?"Ye-es, Perhaps it would be best not to let him know the complete mechanics of that relationship until he's old enough to understand, huh?" “Come on that would be worse!” Allan protested teasingly and promptly pointed out; “Now he aint old enough to understand, so can’t be scarred by it.” Still, it was all just fragile hope wasn’t it? That he and Alais would recover even half of what they had and work and build upon it. It seemed a distant hope with nothing between them having particularly changed and Allan, under the relentless punishment wondering whether he had made the right decision, whether it was all worth it. Good- Allan couldn’t help but think cheekily. That wiped the smug smiles and giggles of her face. But it seemed that Allan had underestimated the force of his longing and hers too. It shouldn’t have done, but the stifled moan Alias struggled to conceal help on her ears as arousing as it ever could be. Struggled to take control of himself Allan was determined not to fall victim to his own unscrupless tactics. But when one of Alais hand smoothed against her cheek, pulling him closer and the other encouraging his touch against her leg, Allan was uncertain what to do. He knew very well that nothing could come of it and it seemed cruel to continue, particularly to himself. But how could he resist her, even in his confusion? He caressed a pliant earlobe with his tongue and guided by Alais’s hand smoothed his fingers around her thigh. Yet it felt somehow wrong to be touching her like this after everything."Nothin' wrong with a healthy interest,"Allan wasn’t entirely sure why he was suddenly being addresses so severely. He couldn’t see that he had done anything particularly wrong, nor said anything that would offend. Yet, as was becoming routine of late, Allan took the scold to heart. He sat sullenly and folded his arms over his chest."Don't be bloody stupid, You...you're gonna be terrific."“Oh yeah?” He snorted in abject disbelief, nevertheless taking her hand as, what Allan could only suppose was a contraction, gripped her body. “How’d you figure that one?” All Alan had ever heard was his deficiency and when he asked, the only answer he ever received was that it was his task to look after the mother- thus proving in his mind, that no one around him- with perhaps the exception of Molly- believed he would be useless. Nevertheless, it was the first positive and definite thing Alais had ever said to him around this matter. Still typically suspicious, Allan had reserved doubt.
"Or just that eager,"“Yeah, so eager to bed a fire-breathing dragon.” Allan replied dryly with a withering look. "'Ere you go,""You!"Why the hell didn't you tell me about the bloody water-breaking?"Instead of a gratified remark for Roy’s helpful and thoughtful gesture, he instead- much to Allan’s amusement, that it for once not him-received a rebuff from Alais. Allan could only watch in confusion and fear as the pair fussed around Alais, lightening candles stealing pillows and asking knowing questions. What was he supposed to do apart from panic?

“Well it’s that ‘love your torturer’ thing, aint it?” "And nothing to do with the tight fittin' black leather?" Alais murmured slyly under her breath, her eyes sparkling. She couldn't help it - after all, that's what had first caught her eye when Allan had gone over to the Castle - both on Guy and Allan himself. "That's what I'd pick out." “Well some surprises aint all bad.” She smiled ever so tightly, nervously - wanting to break the barriers that appeared to have risen up around them, around him. How could she tell him that this was't something to gain points, or to simply scratch an itch, but because she wanted this...she wanted them to be together again. It wasn't something that she could blurt outright - too gauche, too awkward to simply say. "I thought you hated surprises," she whispered very tentatively against his mouth. Her fingers slipping awkwardly through his messy hair, she let out a very slight sound, her own motions jarring slightly, impeded by trembling limbs. As she kissed him Alais leant up, brushing her nose against his in a familiar, loving gesture.
“What like ya elbow?” That merited a pointed roll of the eyes and a shake of the head, hiding a grin behind her hand. ”Oh come one, most parts.” "What, you want to make an inventory?" Alais spluttered; half in disbelief and half in hidden interest. “Aww you don’t mind do ya little one? ’Sides better for ‘im to know his Ma’ and Da’ ‘ave a lovin’ relationship.” "Ye-es," Alais murmured rather doubtfully, chewing down thoughtfully on her lip. She wanted that more than anything, especially with her own disasterous parenting, but at the same time...Well, there was a limit to what they should expose their child to. "Perhaps it would be best not to let him know the complete mechanics of that relationship until he's old enough to understand, huh?" As Allan gaped at her, indignant and stunned and obviously aroused, Alais hid the splutter of a giggle behind her hand. She honestly had no idea why she'd done that so provocatively, only that it had been funny. Biting down deep into her lip at his horrified expression, Alais' laugh turned into a sharp gasp as Allan slid his hand up the inside of her leg, leaning forward to kiss and suck against her neck and ear. “Like you are any different.” ALais was to occupied with not moaning outright to even hear his words at first. That wasn't fair - he'd almost been with Molly, but she'd had barely any physical contact with a man since their meeting in the cave...which had not exactly come to the full conclusion, she realised sourly. A stifled groan escaping her lips, she reached one hand behind her, stroking against his cheek and pushing him closer against her skin. Nothing could come of this, she was well aware as she urged his hand to continue stroking her leg, but right now it felt so good to her. "Nothin' wrong with a healthy interest," she muttered rather harshly. “Exactly. Aint nothin’ we can’t do when we work together. An’ I know you’re doubtin’ whether you’re gonna be a good mother, but you shouldn’t be, alright. I know you are gonna be a fantastic mother. You are gonna love this child, nurture it, protect it and teach it and he is gonna love you. You’re the one he’d gonna’ to run to when he’s fallen and scraped his knee, you’re gonna be the one he seeks out when he’s upset, you’re the one he’s gonna turn to when he’s first gets his heart-broken… Infact the only problem you’re got is you chose a pretty useless bloke for his father.” "Don't be bloody stupid," Alais panted, gasping a little as she rbeathed through another contraction. "You...you're gonna be terrific." “How are your contractions?” As Lizzy came in she glanced up, smiling wearily but releived - Lizzy could always be trusted to look after her. "Not too bad," she mumbled softly, blinking sharply as the candlelight suddenly pierced her eyes, one hand stroking against her belly. "Lizzy, how long is this s'posed to take?" She pleaded. "'Ere you go," "You!" She exclaimed, suddenly leaning over to clout Roy over the head, happy despite herself to suddenly have a vent for her feelings. "Why the hell didn't you tell me about the bloody water-breaking?"

“Yeah well, I’m that good.” "Or just that eager," Roy uttered beneath his breath. Damnit, he couldn't help it - after all, this was what he was here for, wasn't it? To piss Allan off beyond all belief just to distract him from the fact that his lover was about to go through labour, the fact that she might very well die. And, true to form, Allan was looking suitably miffed with him, irked enough to not realise what it was they were talking about. Running his hands through his dirty blond hair, Roy cast an anxious look back to the Hide Out, well aware of Lizzy's nerves. "How is she in there?" “How are your contractions?” As he placed the water unobtrusively by the bed, a simple but stark reminder of what could happen - he could always tell Allan it was simply for washing the baby when it was born, and where was the harm in that? - Roy stumbled over to Will's bed, then his, gathering up pillows and placing them at Alais's side. "'Ere you go," he muttered, noticing with some relief that Alais did not appear to be in too much pain...Alarmed, sure, but not hurting to badly. Maybe he did have to hand it to Allan.
